Collectibles With Beatles James Bond Buster Crabbe & Charlton Heston
We'll probably be looking at a mixed bag of stuff this time around... first up is this poster for "Battle of the Amazons"! Now, I'd never even heard of this one until I came upon the auction for this poster... and I have no idea if any of you have ever seen it, either... but I did just check out the trailer for it on YouTube, and yes, it is completely an exploitation film, looks incredibly cheesy! If you were expecting a 1970s-era version of Xena, Warrior Princess... well, that's probably as close as that decade got!
Here's a lobby card for "The Bat Whispers," which apparently had some influence on the creation of Batman!
Ah, time for some Beatles goodies! I'm not sure what the photo above was a promotion for... possibly taken at an Ed Sullivan appearance, but that's purely a guess!
Below, here's some original art for a Beatles Punch-Out Book (by which, of course, I mean a book in which you'd punch out stuff to make mini-standees or dioramas):
Above, a set of Beatles plastic figures produced in Spain! I don't know if these were the same figures produced in the USA.
Promotional still for "Beneath the Planet of the Apes"!
Been a long time since I posted anything to do with Big Jim -- here's the original artwork for the cover of the Big Jim coloring book!
Blackhawk Serial Lobby Cards!
I don't tend to post photos of James Bond memorabilia, but these two Bond toys were too cool not to save for sharing!
Buck Rogers serial poster!
The above coloring books are from 1963 and 1965, respectively... and of course, they're featuring Bullwinkle and Rocky, as will a few other items below!
Original art for a 1981 Bullwinkle puzzle! Wow, were they straying from the model or what? Below is the puzzle itself:
Bullwinkle bank!
Apparently this Bullwinkle glass was produced around 1976, according to the seller...
No, I have no idea why anyone thought Bullwinkle castanets were a good idea, either.
Here's another Bullwinkle coloring book!
A nifty Bullwinkle frame-tray puzzle that also features the Moon Men!
Bullwinkle Milton Bradley board game... all kinds of awesome!
Mattel's talking Bullwinkle... still mint in box? I wish I could've afforded to bid on this thing of beauty!
Believe it or not, this Bullwinkle punch bag wasn't just sold in Pottsylvania!
Two more awesome Bullwinkle puzzles above!
Another piece of original puzzle art, this one's from 1982 (apparently the era of bad artwork on Bullwinkle licensed products?).
One of these days, I'll have to go into my files and see how many variations of this light flashing gun were produced for all the different licenses!
And we'll wrap up this installment with this Bullwinkle/Dudley Do-Right target game!
